【摘要】:Thisproceduredefinesamethodbywhichtheopticalinsertionlossofacompletefiberopticinterconnectioncanbemeasured.Therearetwoproceduresthatmaybeused.Inthefirstpowerismeasuredthroughacontinuouslengthoffiberorcable.Thefiber/cableisthencut,theinterconnectiondeviceisinstalled,andpowerisremeasured.Inthesecondprocedure,powerismeasuredthroughapigtaileddevice.Theinput/cableisthencutbackandthepowerisremeasured.Theseproceduresdonotapplytocableassemblies.
